Staying True To The Stash

And I really haven't been tempted to buy anything, either. Here's one reason why I really do need to stick to the stash: and this is only the handpainted sock yarn!! I have easily 2-3 bags this size of other sock yarns.

The only thing I'm allowing myself to fall off the wagon for (if possible) is to order several of the Philosophers Wool sweater and/or shawl kits. Of course, it would be good to knit up the 3 kits I already have.

And speaking of kits, the instructional classes for the Hanne Falkenberg kits at my LYS fell through, at least for me. The young lady in charge became a victim of pneumonia. One class was cancelled with dates unknown for the others. My $$$ was cheerfully refunded so now I'm on my own.

Also class related, I took part in an all-day class last weekend in knitting fair isle. Our pattern for the day was the 8-pointed star from Arnhild. http://www.arnhild.com/AH103m.jpg I chose a dark teal green and cream for my mitten, with progress shown here as of last night. One thing I learned from this class was that I was knitting DH's snowflake sweater incorrectly, so part of it was frogged to above the ribbing with rework underway. Good thing DH is such a patient sweetie.

Finished objects this week is Sock #1 in Interlacements Toasty Toes, done in a beaded rib pattern. The mate is on the needles and will join it's long lost twin [hopefully] this week.

Work continues on DH's board loomed vest, my chullo hat, Montana Wheat socks, Lastrada and Violet's Pink Ribbon socks. But I think it's time to take out the never-ending golf sweater I started for DH two years ago. Maybe even finish it so he can wear it this year. LOL!!!

It's finally beginning to look like winter here in Michigan. Light snow falling today, the kind that would have been nice over Christmas. Ah, well.

Knit On............ And GO BEARS!!!!!
