First FO of 2007

The Sisik socks for hubby that I started in July of last year!! I know they look different sizes but they aren't.So . . . now it's on to other stuff.

The postman has been good the last few days: These are the last yarn buys I made in 2006.

From top to bottom: Dicentra Designs sock yarn from Crown Mountain in Solar Energy and Pelennor, a hank of Scarlet Fleece hand painted merino from Holly Springs Homespun in Cottage Garden, superwash merino sock yarn from Mystical Creation Yarns in Mother Earth and two balls of Berocco Keltic in Peat. I'm still waiting on two skeins of Mountain Colors sock wool in Sagebrush and Sweet Lavender. You might know that going through my stash this past weekend I found a skein of Sagebrush. Ah well...

And this evening I realized I'd not yet gotten the skein of Violet's Pink Ribbon yarn from Lisa Souza yarns.

Work continues on hubby's board knitted vest, my chullo, hubby's snowflake sweater and various other projects too numerous to mention. I did cast on the first half of the Hanne Falkenberg sweater I bought in kit form 2 years ago. The local LYS is offering 2 instruction-only classes for those of us who have the kit but never started knitting. First class is 1/17. On 1/20 I have a 2-color stranded mitten workshop. I hope to pick up some good Fair Isle tips.
