Freezing Rain, Sleet and Snow. Oh my!!!

The nasty storm that's been wreaking havoc in the middle of the country has finally reached southern Lower Michigan. Coating of ice all over everything, then a period of heavy snow 'gobs'. That's the only way to describe it. Not flakes but big gobs of snow. Right now all has stopped. The lull before the next round. A great reason to stay inside, watch the NFL Divisional playoffs and knit.

Last week I got a skein of Lisa Souza's sock yarn ordered in December. Violet's Pink Ribbon.

It's as beautiful as the pic on her web site. I cast on for a toe-up sock yesterday but ended up frogging it as I realized I hadn't cast on enough stitches.

In other parts of KnitLand, I'm making progress on the Cross-Country Chullo from Knitty It's neat to see the pattern take shape.

Other progress includes:A pair of socks in Interlacements Toasty Toes.

A pair of sock in Mountain Colors Pheasant, Montana Wheat:

And very little on the Hanne Falkenberg Lastrada:

Well, that's it for now. Gotta go get ready for some football!! Go Pats! Go Bears!
