Another loom joins the family

The 45" Harrisville is finally assembled and being put to use. :-)

Parts out of the box. Overall, it took me off and on over 3 days to assemble the loom. For the most part, I was able to complete it on my own. Hubby helped out a couple of times.
Assembled and ready to go. The first thing I did was warp it with 8/2 cotton for some golf towels. The first set is in green which I'm going to monogram in pale yellow perle cotton. I promised hubby I'd make some blue ones, also, but I'm itching to try the full capability of the loom, so maybe I'll go with a more complex weave to avoid boredom.

The weaving classes are over for now,but my class project turned out great! I may weave up some more out of the same wool for scatter rugs. With so much coming up this spring and summer, I'm going to skip any more classes for now, but will definitely look into going back in the fall or winter.

On the rigid heddle is a roving rug that uses dyed roving for the weft. I can't wait to get it off the loom and see it. It's earmarked for the spare room.

I also finished and sent off the Toddler Cotton pullover to my grandson. I only hope he hasn't outgrown it since I started to knit it. On the needles now is a sweater for my sister, in handspun pale yellow wool and worsted weight silk noil yarn. I'm on the last sleeve and can't wait to finish it as I've been promising this for almost a year. :-)
